EVERYONE CAN SING!

Our free summer holiday workshop day takes place on Thursday 28 August from 10:00-2:30pm. It’s a perfect opportunity to try out either one of our choirs! Sign up here by Friday 22 August.

Newcastle Youth Choir was formed in 2022 to give exciting, free-of charge vocal opportunities to anyone in Year 6 or above. From September 2025 we will also be introducing Newcastle Children’s Choir for anyone in Year 3 or above.

Both choirs rehearse on a Tuesday evening during term-time. Funded by Newcastle Music Service and supported by the Music Department at Newcastle University, we also work closely with a range of regional and national partners to provide as many exciting and vibrant choral experiences as we can.

There’s no cost, no expectation to be able to read music and no audition to join. All of our rehearsals include regular musical literacy sessions and our central aim is to broaden the musical skills and knowledge of everyone involved. We also offer a Young Leaders programme for anyone aged 14-18 interested in developing their own vocal leadership skills.
